Of Choices and Sacrifices

An abundance
of bullets has never
been a guarantee of peace,

a dearth of them,
and those willing to use them,
is an open invitation for domination.

There is a choice
to be made between being
free or being subservient to armed masters.

Sacrifices
are required
for either decision.

  1. With the phrase “open invitation for domination ” you’ve made me re-think some of my lifelong tenets regarding war and weapons, but on balance, I don’t think I can change them.

Some of what I write is true, some is fiction; most is merely possibility.
