Dinnertime

She enjoys cooking,
the feel of the ingredients
between her fingers,
the smell of memories
and the stories behind
the recipes.

She enjoys cooking.
She is happy when we eat.

🙂 And I was just frustrated that I had to cook instead of write.:) A nice reminder here for me to cherish all moments.:)

  2. Emotion filled, yet simply said. Nice.

  3. To feed people is always a delight. I hope you do the dishes!

  4. I love the line ‘the smell of memories’ [and that the two are directly connected in the brain].
    ‘and the stories behind
the recipes’ reminds me of the many that come with my collection. The poem has a good feel to it.

  5. Reading this, and getting ready to make supper. Perfectly wonderful combination!

Some of what I write is true, some is fiction; most is merely possibility.
