Your Hand

Let me hold your hand,
give me something
to cling to while
it is the worst.
Caress me gently
with the same hand
when it subsides
and I have moments
of peace,
then kiss me
on the forehead
when the time comes
and use your perfect
hand to close my eyes.

Loosely based on a line from Pablo Neruda

  1. This is really touching. I like this a lot.

Some of what I write is true, some is fiction; most is merely possibility.
