more often,
each more vivid

The beast rises
upon the dais
and I know not
whether to fight
flee or fly.

yikes- good take on Picasso’s itense image!

  2. A slightly disturbing feel to your words here…Fight or flight? Big question!

  3. As there’s no picture attached to the post, I quickly summoned up my own visuals, and nearly scared myself to death. 😀

  4. very nice mark..thanks for sharing your words

  5. “Fight, flee, or fly” I enjoyed each verse. Beautifully done!

  6. Brief but complex, your words bring a whole new intensity to this image. Enjoyed reading this well-penned piece, Mark.

  7. Great image and layout. But I must say, for impact, for the beastly encounter, I so wanted the last word to rhyme with “last”.
Nightmares and reality can blur, eh?

  8. you captured that moment between sleep and awakening… in just a few lines

  9. I love the spare take on this image, for ‘fight, flee or fly’ surely sum up the impressions I take from the three on the precipice! Beautifully done!

  10. I have to agree with the gang above. It really is a well penned write.

Some of what I write is true, some is fiction; most is merely possibility.
