Wind

Have you seen the wind
today?

I saw it yesterday
dancing in the trees
and the grasses,
the colors of autumn
for a partner.

They whirled and twirled
among the shadows
and shafts of sunlight
scattered on the forest
floor.

Have you seen the wind
today?

I saw it yesterday.

  1. Mark, this is absolutely gorgeous. I often think of the wind as a visible entity and you have put that thought into such delightful words. Thank you.

  2. We see its effects but never ‘see’ it itself. This is a lovely dance of autumn.

  3. Wind and autumn colors as partners. Just lovely, Mark.

Some of what I write is true, some is fiction; most is merely possibility.
