Making It Work

Over the years
the perfect
relationship
evolved.

He always
believed
her whimsical
wisdom.

She always
ignored
the noise
of his nonsense.

There was always
some doubt
as to whether
he was listening,
or she could hear.

  1. I absolutely love this! I wouldn’t doubt that there are a lot of couples that would fit this picture at some point in their relationship. I love the picture accompaniment as well!! Thanks for taking part in Vice/Versa

  2. I LOVE THIS LIKE CRAZY!!! Especially that picture. 🙂 This is just super, Mark. Excellent closing …. SO funny. And true, I’m sure!

  3. Very funny…indeed a problem every couple faces 🙂

I love the title, and find it a little sad that making it work in a relationship might involve not really hearing or listening some of the time. You describe what I do see happen in many relationships. I will be thinking tonight about what I give up to “make it work” in various relationships..

  5. Rinkly Rimes

    Obviously a very happy marriage!

  6. Thanks…made me smile, Mark.

  7. This is great fun! — and probably often true.

Some of what I write is true, some is fiction; most is merely possibility.
