Pen Down

Dear Poet,
I know you do not
wish to hear this,
and may well
argue the fact,

but there are times
when your expansive
vocabulary and
superfluous words

are completely
inadequate,
and unnecessary,
for capturing the
moment at hand.

But, you shall
nonetheless
try,
for you have no
choice
but to
write.

  1. Similar in theme to a previous post regarding the unnecessary poet. This one for the http://newworldcreativeunion.blogspot.com/ Wednesday Wake Up call.

  2. This is so witty. and cynical, but great fun. Do you mean hear in the first stanza?

Great shots Mark. Really love the capture on the sun. Love the accompanying words, very true, sometimes we must try. Thanks

  4. Fantastic sunset! You can bet I’d be trying…and oh, how I smiled with that final photo…yes…I feel you Poet…there are indeed those times…wonderful response…and still smiling!

  5. Beautifully written, composed and presented. I can relate to that last image very closely.

  6. Excellent point in your poem. Nature can tie our tongues with beauty always captures what words cannot!

There’s that little square cutout again. What’s that all about?!

Some of what I write is true, some is fiction; most is merely possibility.
