Just a Normal Girl

counting the
digits —
first activity of
new parents —
was not to be…

the fact that
she was born
without hands
is somewhat
irrelevant
to the winner of
the penmanship prize

studious, perfectionist,
determined,
possibly confused why
her accomplishment
is singled out —
she is simply doing
her lessons.

**Read more about this remarkable little girl. Sure changes perspective about the little inconveniences we may have to face.**

I read about her in my local paper…She is wonderful. Great poem! 🙂

  4. What an amazing story!
