Saved

One among the
many
life contained in
a broken shell
exposed to the storm
eyes finally lifted to
possibility by
blood —
scattered by a
hammered spike
centuries ago
riding the wind
as a Word like
rose petals in a
tempest
enabling the shattered
to rise
and walk among
their pieces.

Written for The Mag picture prompt. Thanks to Brian M for some inspiration on this one.

  1. Beautiful, we can’t rise, unless we fall. so, maybe we have to fall sometimes so that we can learn how to rise.
Glad Brian helped with some inspiration. He’s a great guy 😉

    and walk among
    their pieces.

    Really nice.

Some of what I write is true, some is fiction; most is merely possibility.
