all heads bowed under constant pressures,

spending life always looking down.

Never knowing true freedom

until a glance skyward

reveals filtered light.

Learning the truth,

and gasping

for clean

  1. it would kinda suck to wake up, look up and know you could not reach it….

  2. I enjoyed the construction of your poem Mark. I also like that it is contemporary and that it has something to say about the environment. Thank you for sharing.

  3. Good one, Mark. Gasping for clean air….clean water….clean anything. We shy from the truth.

    And nicely made, too.

Some of what I write is true, some is fiction; most is merely possibility.
